Why Pryde exists
Pryde was built because I wanted a space that felt calm, genuine, and safe — especially for people who might not feel comfortable being themselves elsewhere.
As someone who understands how important privacy and acceptance are, I wanted to create something without pressure, algorithms, or noise — just real conversations and real people.
Most social platforms are built around engagement metrics, ad revenue, and keeping you scrolling. Pryde is built around the opposite: giving you a quiet corner of the internet where you can show up exactly as you are, at your own pace.

Safety first
We take safety seriously — not as a checkbox, but as a core design principle. Human moderation, encrypted data, geo-risk warnings for high-risk countries, and strong privacy controls are all built in from the start.
Genuine respect
Every identity is welcome here. Pryde is designed for the full LGBTQ+ spectrum — gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans, non-binary, asexual, pansexual, intersex, Two-Spirit, questioning, and everyone in between.
Authenticity over performance
No algorithms deciding who sees your posts. No engagement bait. No pressure to go viral. Just a chronological feed of the people you choose to follow, saying what they actually mean.
Intentional growth
Pryde is small on purpose. We're growing slowly and carefully, because this community deserves a platform that gets it right — not one that scales fast and breaks trust along the way.
What makes Pryde different

- Human moderation. Reports are reviewed by real people who understand queer community dynamics, not automated systems.
- Privacy by design. Sensitive fields like gender identity and orientation are encrypted at rest. You can export or delete all your data at any time.
- Built like an app. Pryde is a Progressive Web App — install it on any device directly from your browser, no app store required.
- LGBTQ+ owned and operated. This isn't a corporate product with a rainbow logo in June. It's a platform built by and for the community.
